Sage Software offers promotional discounts to existing Abra HRMS customers until September 30, 2009; 20% discount for the first Abra HRMS module and 40% off on all other additional modules. Price Increases Effective October 1, 2009

As usual, Sage Software increases prices for all Abra HRMS modules and add-ons effective October 1. If you wish to purchase and/or add additional Abra HRMS modules, please do so before the end of September so that you could buy them at the current lower prices. Same holds true with Abra HRMS annual support renewals. Even if Abra HRMS current annual support expires on or after October 1, you can renew them at the current lower price if you pay for them before the end of September.

 Please make sure you renew the support through Usercom Systems so that you could receive the support from both Sage Software and Usercom Systems for the same price.

Abra Tips & Tricks: Mass Update

If you wish to global changes to Abra database with or without condition, please follow the procedure below:

1. Get all other Abra users logout of Abra and backup the database by going to Processes, System, Backup Data, click Select All and Ok.
2. Go to Processes, HR and Mass Update.
3. Select the database file name on Update File line. To find the names of the database files, go to Reports, System, Data Dictionary Reports, click on Files List and Preview to find the list of database files used in Abra HRMS.
4. Select any one field on Update Field line and select a field of the file selected above. To find the field names, go to Reports, System, Data Dictionary Reports, click on Fields List and Preview to find the list of database file fields arranged by the file Alias.
5. Specify the selection criteria using Expression Builder on Records to Update line.
6. On New Value line, type in the desirable new data or use the Expression Builder to new data.
7. When you click Ok, it will first give the number of records to be updated. If the record number is reasonably accurate, please click Yes to mass update.
8. Randomly verify the accuracy of the Mass Update. If accurate, let other Abra users login, otherwise restore the data by going to Processes, System, Restore Data, click Select All and Ok, and do it again the right way.
