Abra HRMS SQL Version 10 Released

Sage Software released Abra HRMS SQL Version 10 this month. If you have not received this new version, please contact Sage Customer Service Department at 800-424-9392 to have them shipped to you free of charge if you subscribe to Abra HRMS SQL annual support. Remote Programming Services Offered

As part of our continuing efforts to help our customers in timely manner, we offer "Remote Programming Services" on Abra HRMS for those customers short handed. All you have to do to arrange with your IT Department to give us remote access to your Abra HRMS and specify what you want done, whether it has to do with cleaning up Abra data, benefit plans setup, criteria table setup, mass update and/or ad hoc reports. Hosted Abra HRMS Saves DuBois 50% Costs

Sharonville, Ohio-based DuBois Chemicals, a global provider of sustainable cleaning solutions with more than 300 employees in the U.S. and Canada, recently implemented Sage Abra HRMS (Human Resource Management System) software in a hosted environment. DuBois Chemicals estimates that internal control of payroll and HR saves the company 50 percent per employee, compared to the cost of an outsourced provider. The system also enables DuBois Chemicals to do more in-depth reporting and provides greater flexibility, while also providing automatic updates, security, and backups through a hosted vendor, and personalized local support through a Sage-certified business partner. Return on investment for the HR/payroll system is expected within 14 months.

Abra HRMS Tips & Tricks

Abra Attendance Year-End Closing

  1. Enter ALL absence transactions of all employees for current accrual year by going to Details, Attendance and Absence Transactions.
  2. Post all absence transactions by going to Process, Attendance, and Post Transactions to Summary. 
  3. Accrue all employees' time through the end of the accrual year by going to Process, Attendance, Accrue Time to Accrue Through Date.
  4. Print Employee YTD Attendance Summary report by going to Reports, Attendance, Attendance Reports, and select that report to print.
  5. Verify the accuracy of the Employee YTD Summary Report.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 until everything is verified to be correct and accurate.
  7. Then, print Employee YTD Attendance Summary and Employee YTD Attendance Detail reports by going to Reports, Attendance, Attendance Reports, and select those reports to print.
  8. If those two reports are verified to be accurate, please BACKUP the data by going to Process, System and Backup Data.
  9. Run Close Accrual Year by going to Process, Attendance, and Close Accrual Year.
  10. Accrue all employees' time through the end of next accrual year by going to Process, Attendance, Accrue Time to Accrue Through Date.
  11. Print Employee YTD Attendance Summary report by going to Reports, Attendance, Attendance Reports and select that report to print.
  12. Verify the accuracy of Carry-Over Hours/Days in the Employee YTD Attendance Summary report for the new accrual year.

ONLY IF you find anyone's Carry-Over Hours/Days are wrong, restore the data by going to Process, System, Restore Data, and redo Steps 1 through 12 all over again.
