Abra HRMS V7.8/V8.5 & OrgPlus V8 Released

Sage Software released Abra HRMS V7.8, V8.5 and OrgPlus V8 last month. If you have not received those new versions, please contact Sage Customer Service Department at 800-424-9392 to have them shipped to you free of charge if you subscribe to Abra HRMS annual support. If you have already received them and don't know how to upgrade the programs, please contact us at yshin@usercom.com or 914-980-1472 for help.

 

Remote Programming Services Offered

As part of our continuing efforts to help our customers in timely manner, we offer "remote programming services" on Abra HRMS for those customers short handed. All you have to do to arrange with your IT Department to give us remote access to your Abra HRMS and specify what you want done, whether it has to do with cleaning up Abra data, benefit plans setup, criteria table setup, mass update and/or ad hoc reports. Abra Tips & Tricks: Mass Update Pay Rate

If you wish to global changes to Abra database with or without condition, please follow the procedure below:

  1. Get all other Abra users logout of Abra and backup the database by going to Processes, System, Backup Data, click Select All and Ok.
  2. Go to Processes, HR and Mass Update Pay Rate.
  3. Select the Employer and Employee Status Type (e.g. Active).
  4. If you wish to change Pay Rate for a particular group of employees, specify the group using FoxPro Expression Builder and then click Ok.
  5. Change the Pay Change Date to that of Pay Rate Change Effective Date if different from the date displayed.
  6. Select the Change Reason from the list.
  7. Build a mathematical formula using Expression Builder (e.g. Pe.p_salary * 1.10 for 10% increase to the employees' current salaries).
  8. When you click Ok, it will first give the number of records to be updated. If the record number is reasonably accurate, please click Yes to mass update Pay Rate.
  9. The System will automatically create Job History records with current salary before the update and then change the Pay Rate to that of new one and update benefits I accordance to the new salary.
  10. Randomly verify the accuracy of the Mass Update Pay Rate. If accurate, let other Abra users login, otherwise restore the data by going to Processes, System, Restore Data, click Select All and Ok, and do it again the right way.
